Established in King’s Lynn in 1969, Lynn Carpet Centre is an independent family run flooring business working across domestic and commercial flooring throughout Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and the surrounding areas.

We currently have opportunities for experienced employed floorlayers as well as self-employed subcontract fitters looking for regular work with an established local flooring company.

Location: King’s Lynn, Norfolk
Position: Full-time, employed
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
Pay: Competitive, based on experience and ability with bonus scheme and overtime available. 

We are looking for experienced floorlayers to join our employed fitting team at Lynn Carpet Centre.

Whether your experience is primarily in carpet and sheet vinyl, LVT and floor preparation, or commercial flooring, we would be interested in hearing from you. You do not need to fit every type of flooring.

The role offers a varied mix of domestic and commercial work across Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas, working in customers’ homes as well as offices, schools, healthcare environments, rental properties and other commercial premises.

We are looking for reliable, experienced fitters who take pride in their work and can consistently produce a professional finish.

We are interested in hearing from experienced floorlayers from different areas of the flooring trade.

You should:

• Have proven professional flooring installation experience
• Be skilled and confident within your particular area of flooring
• Understand the importance of correct preparation and installation
• Take pride in producing high-quality work
• Be reliable, punctual and well organised
• Be comfortable working independently and as part of a fitting team
• Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues
• Be able to maintain a clean and professional working environment
• Hold a full UK driving licence

Relevant flooring qualifications, manufacturer training and a CSCS card are advantageous, particularly for commercial work, but practical experience and the standard of your work are equally important.

Due to our ongoing workload, Lynn Carpet Centre is interested in hearing from experienced self-employed carpet and flooring fitters looking for regular subcontract work.

We work across domestic and commercial flooring throughout Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas and are looking to build relationships with reliable, experienced fitters who can produce high-quality work and represent our business professionally when working in customers’ homes and commercial premises.

We are interested in carpet and vinyl fitters, LVT specialists, commercial floorlayers and multi-skilled fitters.

You do not need to install every type of flooring. If you are an experienced specialist within a particular area of the trade, we would still like to hear from you.

We are looking for professional subcontract fitters who:

• Have proven professional flooring installation experience
• Produce consistently high-quality work
• Are reliable and able to work to agreed schedules
• Take pride in their workmanship
• Are professional and courteous with customers
• Have their own appropriate tools and equipment
• Have suitable transport
• Hold appropriate public liability insurance
• Are registered as self-employed and responsible for their own tax arrangements
• Follow relevant health and safety requirements

For commercial work, a valid CSCS card and relevant flooring qualifications or manufacturer training would be advantageous.
